Recently purchased a 2001 St1100 and was a bit worried about rust on bottom of petrol tank and top of wishbone.
I pulled out the petrol tank today to have a look and wow, the top of the wishbone is in really good condition as is the petrol tank. I see a previous owner has fitted an extention to the front of the mudguard which has obviously saved this from English salt and dampness over the years.
The bike came with no service history but thank you - whoever you are!!
