2001 St1100 Europe only one headlamp lights..

I quite agree, - and then again I have had scotch locks in the 1100 tail without any problem for the last 24 years for some trailer wiring.
Taillight-cone is probably the driest place on an ST (got the Autocom and a Sony HU in there since '96...)

Here in the U.K. M.O.T will pass with one or both dip beams working as I found out a few years back.
Both dip beams blew on day of test, asked tester to chuck in two bulbs for me but he only had one in stock.
As long as you have a main & dip that complies to regs you are good to go.

Yep i get it about scotch locks. I feel thry are ok if you use the right size lock for the wire. I never knew that before i purchased them for this job. I just hate cutting wires. There is no damness where the wires are and they are fully insulated from English rain etc.. Time will tell
