Moonshine Camping!!!

Ok,,, Casey City Park has told me that the Camp site will be open,,, and Showers and Toilet will be open and ready April 1st...

Here is a few views of where you would be staying... All these pictures were taken today after we have recieved almost 6 inches in the last 5 days...

The first picture is of the Camp site...

The 2nd picture is a closer view of the Camp sites... Each has a burn ring...

3rd Pic is looking back at the Camp site and the Bathrooms/Showers and Pavillion is in view... Also,,, Maggie my Border Collie is checking out the area too...

4th Pic is the view across the road from the Camp site looking across the lake...

Farther view looking back towards the Camp site and the Bridge across lake is shown...

Well lighted,,, secure,,, only about 6 Blocks from my house,,, and only I think $6 a night...

UPDATE!!! AGAIN A FRIGG'N UPDATE I SAY!!!

I talked to more city people today,,, and FINALLY got the price "WE" are paying!!!

$5,,, per tent... Not the original $6... Not what I was just 2 days ago told was going to be $10... $5!!!

$5 I SAY!!! AND THAT IS MY FINAL ANSWER!!!

Just got off the phone with the City of Casey and THEY WILL,,, have the Showers and Bathrooms open and ready... The Showers are a separate recently built building and DOES,,, have hot water... :D



If you are interested,,, PLEASE sign in here so as I can take the list to the City as to show how many we expect... No need to worry about paying yet,,, I will figure out how we will take care of that easy for you all...

Well,,, we have been DROWNED here and just about 6 hours before the pictures were taken,,, we had 2 1/2 inches in less than 12 hours,,, added to about 4 inches more so,,, we are about as wet,,, as it gets right now...

You will be the First entry,,, on the Moonshine Camping Site List!!!

1 thing,,, I have learned with this little venture into insanity is,,, NEVER,,, Assume... ;)

I was about to go looking for you as I KNEW,,, you would be wanting in on this!!! And,,, yes,,, you were the one that got this rolling!!! I will tell you what... I can bestow the honor of Camp Counselor/Commander to you if you want... AND,,, all the powers and privileges that high office would attain you!!! :D As you can see,,, I placed you at the top of the LIST,,, and had been waiting to do so until I knew for a fact you were camping... Just another honor,,, Camp Commander brings with it... :)

I will add you to the Camping list Jeff,,, and glad to see ya on it too!!! :cool:

There are others out there yacking about camping but,,, are waiting a shade more to commit... And as I said many times,,, any one coming,,, is all ready to BE committed already... :rx1:

I was told the wrong price on what it cost to Camp at the City park in Casey... I WAS,,, told it was $6 but I am guessing that is in the "OFF" season when the Park showers are closed...

When the Park Showers are open,,, and the bathrooms opened,,, they charge $10 per spot... The City WILL,,, Have the Bathrooms and Showers open but again,,, it is $4 more than I said originally... Sorry... :o:

If,,, this keeps ANYONE from not camping,,, I,,, will pay the $4 more... I mean,,, I was the one that should have gotten it correct in the first place...

Lemme get this right.. Before, you said that if the up-charge was gonna
keep anyone from camping, you were gonna chip in the extra bucks...
Now, since this new price is even lower than the original price, does this

Hey Gunner!!!

The guy who is responsible for the camping at the Park lives directly across from where you park... He will come over and collect the money... Don't need to waste time looking for him,,, he will find you... He is a very cool guy who,,, without his help,,, campers WOULD,,, have had to pay $10,,, and he said it would be $5... So,,, thank him when you see him!!! He is REALLY happy you all are down there using the park!!! :)

Here is as good of a map my 25 minutes looking found...

You are camping at "Fairview" Park... To get to Fairview Park off of I-70...

I-70 at Casey exit is RT-49... Take RT-49 South... You come to a flashing light about 1 mile south... This is "New" RT-40... Keep going South... At the center of Casey you will come to the one and only "Stop Light" in town... The road going east and west is "OLD" RT-40 or also known as the "National Road" and Main St... You would turn East/Left here to get to my house,,, which is 410 East Main St but you ain't looking for my house right now,,, so,,, keep heading South on RT-40...

At RT-49 and East Monroe Ave turn East/Left... You will come to a school which is Monroe Elementary School... Continue on East Monroe till you come to SE Th St... At SE Th ST turn South/Left and you are at where the camping is... Shower building,,, bathrooms are to your left as you are entering the park and the spots to Camp are where you want them to your left east of the Bathrooms showers... Each Camp site has electricity and water which is SUPPOSE,,, to be turned on...
