No tricks, the springs come with pretty good instructions. I used 10wt oil at 120mm from the top (fork collapsed, spring removed) as opposed to the 62? mm OEM recommendation or the 130 - 140 mm recommended by Sonic. I cut the Sonic spacers so that when laid side-by-side with the OEM spring and spacer, the Sonic spring and spacer's overall length together was the same. If you want a stiffer ride, try cutting the spacers about 1/4" longer. If you want a softer ride try the 7wt fork oil with the spacers cut as described to match the OEM set up.

In addition to Jeff's input, you may want to PM Marshall Mercer or Snowmoer (Dan), Professors Of Sonic Springs and great guys!. Glad you are getting this done, you will love the bike even more!

Thanks to you both ! ...the Marshall was the one that started me thinking about the springs in the first place after I read something he wrote .....if he doesn't catch this thread I will pm him in a few days........

On a related note, I am getting ready to install my Sonics as well. However, I found my Pit Bull front stand does not fit the stem hole. (I have two pins, neither fit) So does anyone know what pin fits?
I also found the brake lines are in the way, but that should be an easy move.
Thanks!

Max,
No stand needed
If you want new fork oil in, you will need to pull the forks out. I used a floor jack under the motor when the forks were out. If you are not changing the oil, you will just need to put the bike on the center stand, pull the fork caps off both forks, push down on the bars to compress the forks and the spacers and springs will push up. Pull out the stock springs/spacers, suck out some oil to 120 mm, and put in the new springs and spacers. Have fun putting the fork caps back on! I had to get on the bike to put some weight on the cap to get it started.
Brake lines- Move them enough to get to the fork cap if it can be done. This has not been an issue on the three I have done. Two were oil change with the new springs, and the other I had to pull the bars as the Heli plate was in the way to get to the fork caps.
