Was poking around on a couple of other boards and saw threads about Honda Spray Polish being discontinued. Anyone heard anything? Or is this :bsflag:

This is the first I've heard of it, and I hope it's BS...I love that stuff and cherish my supply like nothing else...

Now you've gone and made me all sweaty. :(

Not to worry... The Plexus pusher will be on your street shortly.

I've used both the Honda spray and Plexus. I like Plexus much better than I do the Honda spray.

Yamaha sells a similar cleaner/polish to the Honda stuff. In fact on dealer who sells both brands told me it is the exact same stuff - both brands are made by a 3rd party. The Yamaha product is cheaper here in the Great White North.

I use a product made by Northern Labs in Manitowoc, WI called Kit - Bike Clean. It comes in a pump spray bottle and works the same as the Honda polish. 16 oz. bottle for $4.25 at the local auto parts store.

This thread sparked an interest to me, Because, sometimes I use the product on Customers Cars I work on to clean up grease marks, especially on fenders. IT works quite well and will even restore faded paint to a glossy shine. But i also noticed that it leaves a somewhat Oiley feel to the finish.. So I got out my can of Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish and look at it ingredients.. First is water, then Petroleum Distillate ( Oil),Propyl Hydride( another Oil) Aliphatic Petroleum Distillate( more Oils) Finially,, Propane, Obviously thats the gas in the can.. This got me to wondering if a compareable product might be WD-40 ??

I'm a big fan of "Bike Clean." Bought a bottle when I got my bike. Used it up within the last couple of months. Can't find it again. The store where I bought it no longer carries it.

The Bike Clean website lists dealers, but those stores around me don't carry it. Not sure where to get more, but I'd like to find some.

There are a few states (I know MD is one) where the polish is no longer being shipped to. I was reading the new label the other day and I think it is one of those "environmental" issues. Discontinued? NO. Not being shipped to certain states? Yes.
If only they would realize that riding a clean, shiny energy efficient motorcycle is far better for Mom than the gas guzzling petro burning SUVs...

(BTW, if you live in MD click on the Crofton link below for the Honda dealer who has the polish...)

I've recently read on another forum that the Honda polish has been banned in certain states including NH and MA due to one of the chemical agents that has been deemed environmentally hazardous. Good grief. Luckily it is still widely available online and I think Hondadirectline.com (http://www.hondadirectlineusa.com/valkyrie/product.asp?pid=1414&ID=67893214) may have the best price. Post up if you know a better deal.
