Here is a product (http://cgi.ebay.com/15HP-O2-SENSOR-PERFORMANCE-CHIP-HONDA-ST-1300-P_W0QQitemZ8062370713QQcategoryZ10460QQssPageNameZ WDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) I haven't seen before. They claim an 8-15 hp gain depending on what part of their advertising you read. I wonder if it works.

I heard about this from another rider. He didn't know anything about whether, or how, it worked. I'd like to get more info. This would be a great gadget if it delivered as promised with no detrimental side effects.

On the other hand if it's from Hungary..........Hey they gave us Zsa Zsa!

Sounds like it just makes the bike run richer by altering the O2 sensor circuit.

Without any other mods I don't see it creating any more hp.

Always be suspicious of claims to increase HP of 10% or greater. It takes a lot of mods to get this kind of gain.

I've got a cardboard tube that you can insert in the intake track. I claim a 30% increase in power. I'll sell you one for $250, including postage.

And I suppose it comes wrapped safely in nice, soft, toilet paper!

I looked at this a while ago. I was interested and did a bit of research into fuel injection control algorithms using the O2 sensor. The ST's is actually quite advanced, controlling each cylinder bank from separate O2 sensors (so you would need two of these devices to try it out).
Although I'm not sure how much richer this would make the engine run, I think it would probably have the same effect as the higher pressure fuel regulator. The thing that puts me off is the effect it may have on the catalytic convertor - but that goes for the FPR too.
Driveability etc, would probably be improved but I think (not sure) that the injection system disregards the O2 sensor input at throttle wide open conditions, so I'm not sure how it would result in ultimate top-end HP gains.

I'm guessing that at a steady throttle it would not make any difference since the O2 sensor are reporting the O2 content in the exhaust gas. The PCM in turn would change the injector pulse width to lean out the mixture. On a quick throttle change the system does not know that you installed a higher pressure regulator so your getting a momentary richer mixture. I'm not 100% on this just relating it to what I do know about car systems. So someone correct me if i'm wrong :)

Its just running off the idea that if they can get more fuel into the engine that its going to gain more HP. I looked into one of these a while back and decided not to do it. I would like to see a turbocharger kit for the ST1300 though wouldn't that be sweet.
