I bought my last set (a couple weeks ago) from www.mawonline.com. They were cheaper than swmoto. I've used southwest moto before. SW Moto was a little faster in my experience, but only by a few days. Be sure you consider the freight charge in your comparison, because swmoto does not charge freight for orders of 2 or more tires.

If I were buying again today, I'd also call www.cbxman.com. I just bought a clearview windshield from the, and they were the cheapest by far, about $30 less than anywhere else. I talked to them on the phone, and the parts/accessories manager, Donna, was very nice.

Adventure MotoStuff (http://www.amotostuff.com) has provided me with the fastest delivery by far. I ordered tires one morning and had them the next afternoon. Good prices too, especially if you are buying just one tire (SWM hits you with $14 shipping on one tire).

So, let's assume that a certain (ahem) ST driver doesn't have a means of removing and mounting tires. If said ST driver orders cheap tires...where does he go to get them put on his rims?

I've been searching and calling, no one I've found so far has the BT020F OEM front tire in stock (all the places mentioned plus several others). They (usually the front tire) are backordered for something like another month or two. If you just need the rear, you can get it.

I picked up a nail last night, was going to swap out both tires - but I can't wait that long (although the plug is holding). So I guess I'll get something else. Bummer, I liked these tires.

Find a good friend that has a tire machine and bribe him with Beer or food or whatever!!!;) :D You may talk to a STealer and see if you can swing a deal on just mounting the tires, some STealers will do this for $20-30 bux a wheel.

I think I'd rather pay my friend money than share my beer with them. ;-)

I had no trouble (tribble...) finding BT020's for my ST1100 a couple weeks ago. What's the F-model tire?

BTW, in my previous set of BT020's I used the BMW K1200LT rear version with extra plies. I was hoping it might last longer. It lasted about the same, so don't bother. With the regular BT020 on the rear now, the ride is noticeably improved, vs the heavy ply version.

The U version BT020 rear won't last nearly as long as the oem F version. The U version also has steel belts which don't lend themselves well to plugging if you have to.

New player. Chaparral in Riverside CA. I've never been more than 2 days away, and have gotten tires next day. I am a cheap, notoriously cheap, son of a gun, and they have always done me right. Even returns, if needed.

I wonder what their phone number is?

Yeah, I have it programed in, also.

But I do have a Chaparral catalogue here someplace, maybe it'll tell.
