View Full Version : Requests For Thoughts and Prayers...
I hate to be on a down note guys and gals, but our community, Bowling Green, KY, has been hit hard by the death of 3 motorcyclists in the last week or so.
The first one was a friend of mine whose family attends our church. He was 25 years old and leaves a wife and a three year old daughter. They were (and are) expecting another child in approximately 7 months.
Then today, at least two local business men were killed (a third man is in very critical condition) when they were among 3 or 4 bikes hit when a vehicle crossed the center line and hit them head-on. The driver has been charged with DUI, among other things. One of the men killed was the owner of the local HD dealership.
Please keep all of the families and friends involved in your prayers.
Many thanks,
Elmo

Sorry to hear about the loss of our fellow riders. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.
Other than Neil (ccryder), I don't know any of you guys personally, but I'll tell you this... when tough times come around on this website, it's very apparent that this is a group of individuals who care. I appreciate your kind words and I will pass them on.
God bless,
Elmo
I will lift up each family in prayer, including the one with the DUI.

You're right in doing so. Her life has changed forever. She will get her due justice and she apparently brought this on herself. However, her situation is a tragedy in it's own way and if she has family, they will suffer as well.

I know how you feel. My mom sent me the link about Mr. Martin. I knew of him during my time in Bowling Green. He was an extremely accomplished business man. It is such a waste. My heart goes out to all of the families involved.

Really a bad week for Motorcyclist. I was in TN all weekend and didn't hear about it until I came back in town. Actually I passed by the accident site and was wondering what had happened. The accident was less than 4 miles from my plant.
All I can say is that no matter if they had been on 2 wheels or 4, the results would not have been much different. I saw a picture of the F-150 the women was driving and it was very badly damaged, more damaged than I would have thought from hitting 3 motorcycles.
It was their time, a time too short for anyone, but we sometimes don't have any say in these matters. My prayers and the prayers of my family go out to them. No words can do them justice, we just have to remember what great deeds they were able to accomplish in their too short of time on earth.
These fellow riders died riding, riding was their passion and if there ever was a better way to go, this would have been my choice, and I'm sure theirs also. Find the roads for me so I can ride them with you when my times comes.
