Clutch out time for my trip out west is drawing near. Thanks to all those that gave suggestions on the routes and the ride. It should be a great ride.

I created a Star-Traxx logon so you guys can follow along on my trip out west if ya want. Go to http://star-traxx.com/ (http://star-traxx.com/) and logon with:

user = gowest
pass = youngman

When you first logon you will see a map with an icon in the dead center that looks like a home plate on a baseball diamond. That marks the spot of the last location the Star-Traxx device reported me to be. At the bottom of the map is a pull down menu where you can select from about 30 different types of maps to view. Also, if you have Google Earth on your PC you can click the "Google Earth" link to the right of the map and it will launch Google Earth and fly to the location.

If you click on the link named "Reports" to the right of the map you will see a list of each location that has been reported, with the most recent being at the top. The date & time field of this list are links and each one you click on will show you the exact spot on the map where the location was reported. The time, date, location, and elevation details will be listed to the upper right of the map window.

If you click on the link named "Recent Positions" to the right of the map you will be presented with a Start and End Date field to select from. I leave on the 8th, so that will be the Start Date and then whatever day it is will be the End Date. Once the dates are selected, clicking the "Show" button will give you a map with the route covered up to that point highlighted in green.

Hope to have some great pics and make up a trip report for you guys when I get back.

Be careful and have a safe ride.

Just curious: What temp ranges are you expecting to encounter along the route during the day? Just wondering what type of gear you are packing.
