Finally had a chance to try it in the rain. Rode from Waupun, WI. to Alexandria, MN. on friday night. The trip started out dry and 64 degrees. Coming across WI I-94 the rain started. On and off showers initially with some heavy rain as I got closer to the twin cities. After passing the twin cities all hell broke loose. The temperature dropped to 42 degrees and it poured heavy rain for 95 miles. I kept a steady speed of 75 mph all the way across MN. (Bridgestones are a fantastic rain tire) I was wearing a Santiago jacket w/Gore-tex liner and Reima, Cordura Gore-tex pants with Bohn protective underwear. Under the jacket I wore a poly shirt and light fleece jacket. Nothing but the Bohn underwear under the pants. Footwear included Rocky, Gore-tex insulated work boots with cotton socks. Pulled into the Alexandria Super 8 motel at 1:45am. I was dead tired but warm and dry. The jacket performed well at 90 degrees and now passed the 42 degrees in a downpour test. So far I like it.
