Just edited a couple of clips from some video footage of one of our training courses. Sorry but we are still on the other side of the road so to speak, so if you are viewing in the USA, do not be alarmed :D

Bit difficult to take some good footage when you are limited to 25 meg of space, but it is free so "Beggars cant be choosers" so to speak.

Second clip:

Hope they work for you, be interested in comments but the full film does do it more justice.

I'm enjoying the vids you posted Mick, especially the first one with you speaking.

Despite the hardship of excessive rain during her training period, my wife (that I wrote you about) Dawn got ready for the NESTOC ride well enough.

She did herself proud, as myself, her, and two other friends, were the only ones in our group to spend the day riding the mountains in a downpour during the nasty weather day of NESTOC Saturday. Many people in the complete gathering felt better staying in that day. She did well the whole day at a sane, but certainly brisk enough pace. There are pictures posted here, though some are a bit tongue in cheek.

In case you wanted to see who I was writing you about.

Hi Mick,

So what's the 'story' of these videos please? Which course is it and how's the student doing? Assuming it is a student :D Do you ever record a commentary detailing your obervations of your students? I would find something like that very interesting to learn from.

Thanks,

Thanks to Tom posted earlier.

I managed to upload an edited version of an ealry recording I made about 2 years ago. The film is about 7 minutes long, so hope you do not get bored.

Details are that the bullet camera was helmet mounted. Helmet was Nolan X-Lite with a specially made mount for the camera. The recorder is the Sony I am using now but was mounted in the tank bag. Bike is my last ST1100 before moving to the ST1300. Speeds, well you can be the judge of that one!

Audio is by a lead made for me by Autocom, coming from the paseenger take off into the audio of the recorder. VOX setting on the Autocom is pretty damn spot on for me. So, lets see if it works!

Just viewed the link and it works for me! Recording is a little pixelated due to compression etc but not bad at all.

Thanks,

Story of the videos, well they are training videos I use Dave, and they are of students. The Winger has just finished an advanced instructor course with me and I wanted to film his riding before completion without me prompting him where he should or should not be on the road for advantage.

Thought they would be of interest to our friends across the pond to show how it is done UK style

Students do not have the capabilities to record anything most of the time, but if they had, I wold never post anything due to copyright infringements or the possibility of embarassement to anyone.

The longer clip I have just posted was part of a demo ride that I made a couple of years ago and I normally run that through on courses to show what can be achieved, but bear in mind I have had plenty of practice of commentry riding at different speeds.

Hope that has answered your questions Dave, a picture speaks a thousand words!

Nice Mick, I'm going to get Dawn to watch that tomorrow. The running commentary adds a great deal to it’s usefulness.
