A fellow instructor (we are on our feet *all* day) wears these boots, and says they are very light, comfortable, have a side zip for easy on / off.
I'm wondering would the heel catch on the foot peg at all? anyone have these and rides their ST with them?
I know I'd have to remove the HD tags :) lol

I have a pair of Alpinestar city boots that are five years old all day comfort on and off the bike, and no HD symbols!! look at www.aerostich.com thats where I got mine.

Nice shoes...Make sure they have toe protection and are oil resistant
I use a pair of high top work boots for riding ( you don't find many 7.5 3E motorcycle boots).
No steel toe because I like to be able to shift...
I don't think the heel would give you as much trouble as the HD insignia... :-)

My Triumph boots have heels and I have no issues. My wife's boots are combat style work boots that we waterproofed and she has no issues. Her boots are about the best bang for the buck. $30, oil resistant, water resistant, slip resistant, and comfortable.
The only thing we did to both our boots is remove the insoles and put in Dr. Scholl's sport insoles (http://www.drscholls.com/product.aspx?prodid=82). Made a huge difference to us on the comfort factor when walking around.
I'd love to get a pair of Sidi's but my AA width foot don't play well with the motorcycle boot world. :(
I have been wearing Cruiserworks boots (http://www.cruiserworks.com/testimonials.cfm) for several years. They are built for riding, yet comfortable enough to walk in when you get somewhere. Non slip soles, toe protection, waterproof, no-steel shank, etc.

No, I'm pretty sure they aren't waterproof. I'm still thinking about them though. Not shown in the pic is taht they have a zip on the side, so you lace them once and never again.
For those that may be interested, Honda has had some "close out" boots before. I recently checked ebay and found someone who still has them:

The person has numerous sizes and I'm pretty sure they are steel toes (safety boots). But for 39.99, I think ori they were over 100 easy, good deal anyway.
regards,
I love my Sidi's :)
Cass, do they make your butt look fast?

I have a pair of STealth boots by Magnum. They are full boots -- about 70 bucks. They are very light --- side zippers with laced front-- and actually look pretty good when not on the road.
The shoe store guy says they are very popular with LEO's (SWAT and motorcycle officers) ..due to light weight, strength. The fit is very comfortable.
They are not advertised as waterproof -- but they have been wet a time or two -- and my feet remained dry. No ST footpeg heat issues with these.
