Does my heart good to see the number of ST's I saw today while on Cherohala , Cherokee NC, and Smoky Mountain Park. I have riden up here for several years and have seen only a few ST's, today I saw at least 30. Must be a popular bike!:biker:

I didn't know anything about them two months ago. My heart was set on an RT. I was bidding on an RT when I noticed the seller had an ST in the background. When I asked him why he was selling the RT and keeping the ST, he said dealers were scarce and parts were expensive. Since I had great luck with my Shadow ACE and cb550, I started researching the ST. I'm really loving the bike. Took the wife out on I-95 the other night and did a steady 95 mph like nothing. I ventured out onto 95 once on my Shadow and was scared s***less. It's a different world on my ST. Just sold the 550 on Ebay yesterday and am putting some of the money toward a Hondaline box. The wife wants a backrest and we plan to do some touring when the kids are a little older and we get more free time. One of the places we want to go is the Hoot.

I was there that afternoon. I came from the Tellico Plains side to Robbinsville. It was about 61 degrees at the top...and in the mid 80's south of Robbinsville.

Very cool to see so many .

I rode the Cherohala and Smokey Mountain park on my 2005 ST on Friday. Wow what a great ride.

I was one of the ST's you probably did the Givi install for. I got the V46 and love it. Now I need to get the kit to hook the brake lights and I will be set.

Just got back from the Hoot tonight (sunday). We rode home saturday (dry except for last hour) and today (rain all day). Once again, many Honda owners asked "what kind of motorcycle is that?".

We were on the Roan Mountain tour on wednesday, and Gap tour on thursday. If you saw an ST1100, 2-up, Givi trunk, with Pan Euro name sticker on the front, that was us...

I rode the Dragon on Friday. Saw quite a few STs. I was on an '04 with Honda topcase sandwiched between 2 Silver Wing scooters. I couldn't shake 'em!:D

I toyed with the idea of riding the Poker Run, but my brother and I simply checked in so we could find out where lunch was and rode the Dragon. They were still looking for a Buell rider who vaporized, not sure what cliff he rode off of. Turns out one guy broke his left leg in two spots on the Poker Run. He got flown home and Lord knows where his bike is.

Saw tons of ST's there.

Got to meet BigJon and Jay, two of the best guys you could ever hope to ride with. Big Jon took us on his version of the Norris Dam ride, and we had a great time and ended with dinner at Chili's.

Was a great event and can't wait to do it again next year.

I wasn't at the Hoot, but live close by. I was riding back to my office from Oak Ridge National Lab and ran across 2 STs (one was Big Dog from TX). I turned around and one guy was from the Hoot stamping tickets. He finished and sat down for lunch, then another guy (AZST1300a) spotted our ST and stopped.

It was great to meet some of the guys from the list. If any out of towners plan on coming this way, give ashout and if I can get away maybe we can meet for a ride.

I did the Cherahola Skyway and the Dragon loop last Saturday from Knoxville. Saw many ST1300s along the way. I and local NCer on a red ST hooked up for a spirited charge down the Cherahola from the Deals Gap Gas Station. It was a blast going up and down and around those beautiful mountain roads. :D

I bought the givi case for my 06 ST and have it installed except for the brake lights. The lights themselves were easy enough, but I can't find the wires to attach them to. I tried to remove the tail light assembly, but to no avail. Is there a secret to this? Looks like spaghetti in there and I can't determine which is which. Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Remove the lower fender and you can access the tail/brake lights from below
