Painted Cave in the Santa Barbara Mountains. By Chumash Indians around mid to late 1600's:

Interesting weathering on the rock. Looks like water (wave) action. Kinda odd to find it 5 to 6 thousand feet up. ;)

The site had to be 'blocked off/restricted entrance' because of *******s that thought their "artwork" was better than the original's. Sad. The white patches you can see are areas that have been distroyed. Oh if I could only ....:rocket1:

ST1300 and the V65. Not the bikes you'd really want to use on _some_ of the roads up there, but they made it. :)

Went over 300 miles on the clock today. :06biker: Still waiting for the Bar-risers.

Nice pics Mayner. I believe the elev is more like 2500', Lake Cachuma is about 800'. You and me both would like to catch those sh!theads defacing that artwork.

Hey!

How come you can say ****heads and I can't say *******? Doesn't seem fair, does it? lol...

Roger on the ****heads part though. I'm not really a violent type but stuff like that really gets my dander up. At least the site is protected now.
