Radar detector volume problem

I have a Beltronics RD plugged into my autocom, but even at the lowest volume setting, it is way too loud! anyone know of a way to decrease the volume any further. I have since disconnected the speaker cable and watch the lights warning me of possible traps but would like to "hear" the warning. Thanks to all.:confused:

A resistor in the line will cut down the level. 1k ohm would probably do the trick.

Also, do you have it ground loop isolated? You might want to check out my PS4U-003 (http://www.PitStop4u.com). It will let you run your cell phone, radar detector and gps.
