What is the best sound for ST1300 ?
with Two Brothers or with Staintune ?
We have other choices or only Two Brothers and Staintune to replace original exhaust ?

I had staintunes on my BMW. they just got better sounding with miles. I have Staintunes ordered for the ST. Decided to order thru the dealer instead of cheaper thru Pirates Lair. Reason? Dealer support as well as a good dealer and anything wrong they will work with it. I am told staintunes are not as loud as the 2 bros. they will turn color but there is a product that works for that called "blue job." I do not plan on the K&N but perhaps Turbo city filter. I do have the FPR from the same. I do not expect any increased performance, just the better ear pleasure.

Definately Staintunes. I bought a set of TB's from a regular user of this board who didn't like them because they were too loud for him. I'd have to agree with him -to a point.
I love the tone/sound anywhere short of 80 mph. Above that, and they drone in your ears, ear plugs or not.
The Staintunes have the removable baffle. Pull 'em out for smokin' the twisteez, put 'em in for the long freeway trip. The TB's don't have this flexibility.
YMMV.

Also the TB's use a clamp to mount and simply look like an add on where the Staintunes mount to the factory mounting points and look like they belong.:03biker:

For what it's worth,
I just went though the same dilemma and I choose the ST Tunes because of
the flexibility in sound and the high reviews. I bought mine from Joe Sears at
Spoiledbiker.com. Should be here next week! Can't wait!

After giving my loving wife grief over all of the mufflers she bought for her Harleys to get just the right sound, I sprung for a set of 'tunes. Great addition, love the sound.

does the removable baffle completely open up the pipes? or is there an internal baffle?

I've only had my Staintunes for a short time and have not had the baffles out but they sound great, while your stopped. Once you get moving down the highway, only those you pass will hear them :D. They seem to let the engine run more freely.
