What're their final thoughts on the bike? Love it? Lukewarm? Don't like it?

Can you summarize any comments on the shifting mechanism? I don't know if I'd want to own a bike like that, but I am fascinated by what Yamaha did.

Thanks.

The final paragraph: " The point is, it works. And damned well, too. Upon their arrival, everyone attending the press intro of the FJR-AE was a bit skeptical about the electric shifting; Upon their departure, they all gave it a thumbs up."

CW loves, and I mean loves the FJR, to the point of it being annoying. They won't ever say anything bad about it. IMHO, CW has two good writers, Egan and Cammeron. Most other articles are ok. For some reason I trust european write ups more often, maybe cause they seem to have a better understanding of regular bikes, i.e. NOT racer replicas. Don't get me wrong racer replicas are cool, I like 'em, But MC press here in the US makes it seem like RR's are sometimes the only MC's worth owning (yes I know it's what sells, but they can change that).

As to the AE feature, I don't care either way, but I do see the feature becoming more popular.

oh well,

Tiny,

Thanks.. With that info, the glowing, and I mean GLOWING review of the K1200GT in Rider recently, and what I keep reading about the ZX-14, my eye is seriously wandering...

Now, if I just had an extra boatload of money laying around.... um....
