I'm retiring next year and plan to do a four corners. I'm looking for advice on the best route. Will be taking off from Seattle. No time limit as this is part of my family's retirement gift to me (just need to let them know about it first!!)
Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm interested in seeing what advice you get - I'm couple of years behind you and the 4 Corners ride is one of my possibilities - the other is to ride to Alaska

As beautiful as our great country is, I'm hoping we'll get a number of good suggestions.

I hope you do, too, John as I am also interested. Unfortunately, I won't be going until I get a GL1800 because my wife will have to go and she won't ride on anything less comfortable.
I've already told her, "No Wing unless we can keep the ST."

I've been trying to get time to do a four corners ride for several years now. May make it one of these days. A friend and fellow STOC'er has the same idea, to ride a four corners route without travelling on any interstate highways. Interstates suck, so I tend to try to stay off them as much as possible.
Anyway, we have a route for the four corners sans interstate. If you want, you can download Streets and Trips map of it from my website;
http://www.stocrallies.com/Four CornersR1.zip
There are two S&T files in the zip file, both are similar but different routes for Four Corners with no interstates.

John,
I judt finished the 4 Corners Tour, which you have to complete in 21 days or less, but from Seattle, that shouldn't be a problem because Blaine, WA, one of the "corners" is right next door to you.
I'm sure you've read the ride reports here:http://www.usa4corners.org/main.htm
Here's my blog site for a journal and routing:http://ldmike-mctouring.blogspot.com/
PM me and I'll send you the S&T files.
Total trip was about 11,200 miles/21 days
