Im one of them guy that can't leave well enough alone.
I installed the staintunes last night, a very easy job i might add.
Cleaned off all finger prints, and fire it up, it did not take 10 secounds to no that the baffles are coming out.
2 reasons, don't like the look of them, and don't like sound of the exhaust going through the restrictor.
Out they came.
So what it sound like, I don't no but i like it, only went down the road a mile or so.
It has a great, on the bottom end of the rpm's a deep low sounding growl, as the rpm's go up the sound goes away, more or less, very pleasent.
Like i said not sure what it sounds like but i like it.

I had that same experience with my 1200C BMW. I did not take out the baffles but the sound continued to get better with miles (about 10k). If you don't like the color change to the gold, there is a powder/water mix of poish called "Blue Job." It was the ONLY thing I found but I didn't try to clean them up until I decided to sell the bike.

Can you record the sound and post it?

I had polished aluminum Two Bros pipes before my Staintunes.
The Two Bros were a bit louder but had a healthy growl. The Tunes, without the baffles, are quieter but still have a deep, pleasing tone.
The polishing on Aluminum drove me nutty thus the change to Stainless!
What did you use to polish the Two-bros?
