Nice pix, Jeff. Can you forward info. on the route you took? Looks like a fun one to duplicate. Nice to see that you're still riding the ST.
John
PS - I retire next year and will be doing a lot of riding. Only question is whether Maggie is with me or not!!

It's labeled Hwy 218 and Shaniko-Fossil Highway in Streets & Trips. Antelope is south and east of The Dalles and Maupin. North and east of Madras.
Hope that helps.

Is there a online map I can highlight the route on to put it on the BB. Otherwise, I will just have to write it out and it would be hard to follow.

What great pics...Some times I really miss my ancestral home. Good memories for me, I was scheduled to be there this summer, had to pass.
Terry:
If you have an older map, you might look for Rajespernum, OR. When the GURU came from India, he bought Antelope and re named it. After he got run out of the country, the people re named it. They had dis incorporated as a last official act of defiance when they were overtaken...
My Great Grandparents homesteaded in that canyon, between Shaniko and Antelope, closer to Antelope. The sheriff in Shaniko gave me and my brother 'til sundown to get out of Shaniko...when I was 10 and he 7. We believed him, told my folks we had to go, right now. We'd stopped for a picnic...
BTW, my Mom was born in Athena, OR, pretty close by. Better known as the home of Hodaka. Fess up, guys. How many of you owned a Hodaka? I owned a Super Rat 125, lusted for a Road Toad...hadda get by with a Yamaha, I made it. Yeah, when Bob Seger sings "...Started hummin a song from 1965", I hear that Hodaka, yet. No wonder the girl with 'big brown eyes, two little points of her own standin way up high' never had much to do with me:)

Am I the only one who finds these photo sites so annoying that I simply won't bother? I'm sure there are some pretty pictures, but the navigation is not worth it.
Is something like this better?

Jeff, thanks for the pics. Looks like a good time getting to and from a good rally.
I just clicked on the slideshow and watched. I think it missed a picture here and there but it was enjoyable. It's probably easier to upload all the pictures to this type of site than to put together a web page and that was a lot of pictures.
