A friend and I (on matching '06 ST1300A's) are leaving Indianapolis tomorrow afternoon for Maine and back, and I'm looking for any last minute suggestions on things to see, roads to ride, stuff to do, etc.
We're planning on getting through the Indiana and Ohio parts as quickly as possible (i.e. boring parts) on the Interstate. Then we're crossing Pennsylvania mostly on US 6, then a night in NYC before crossing Long Island (to the ferry), then through Newport RI to maybe Martha's Vineyard and/or Cape Cod. Then we'll work our way up to probably Portland ME (or maybe slightly north of there) but we'll eventually have to get back to US 302 because I have one overnight arranged in Denmark ME and another one in central Vermont. This will put us near the BMW Motorcycle Rally near Burlington which is next weekend. After that, we're going to cross upstate New York (no route planned yet) and eventually work our way back home.
