steering bolt caps

I replaced the air cleaner this weekend <easy>, but does anyone know how to remove the caps covering the handle bar bolts so I can correctly prop up the tank ???

Gently pry the chrome decorative cap off with the blade of a small straight-slot screwdriver, or something similar.

If you have a hard piece of plastic that might be better but a screwdriver will work.

I gave up on them and put them in a little baggie and stored them. However the bolts do start to corrode after a while.
