Well after reading all your posts about how great the Turbo City's FPR is I called Tom and made a appointment to have it installed on Monday. Boy! I'm excited! :D I hope its as good as you guys say! They were very nice and friendly and the price is right! About $50 for installation plus the $99 for the regulator. Tom said it should take about an hour, or longer allowing for cool-down of the bike. I'll ride up there first thing in the morning Monday, and then I'll let you know how it went. :06biker:

Question; should I allow the gas to get pretty low before showing up at TC?

Fred-STer..

yes on the gas being low..the lower the better (try to have the upper tank empty) bring it in with 2 bars or less..

You will not be disapointed and yes let the tank end up about 1 to 2 bars when you arrive . It makes the job a lot easier to manage for Tom.

I did mine when she was blinking... no gas to mess with :) Ride around to different Starbucks to burn off the gas... makes for a great ride home :D

And if I hit enuff Starbucks then I'll be so wired I'll be able to drive myself home without a bike! :D

Fred,
Let us know how it turns out. I was thinking of getting mine changed as well. I work in Aliso Viejo so it is just a toll road ride into orange. I now have 527 miles on the bike (had it one week as of yesterday) and my only complaints are the seat and the throttle seems sensitive.

Oh, and there are starbucks in San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, Irvine......I have just never hit more than one in a day.;)

Will do! I'm heading up there on Monday for a 8am appointment. My throttle is also pretty touchy so I'm looking forward to the improvement. As for the seat I haven't had a real good chance yet to try it out on a long distance, but with my Alaska Sheepskin Buttpad I think it should be OK.

As for Starbucks; if I were to hit them all I would go broke! Man! Those places are expensive!
