i'm doing an ss2000 on sept. 9-10....out and back from dallas to casa grande. az. taking the i-20/i-10 route

i'm wondering what kind of weather i need to plan for. can i expect any freezing temps at the higher elevations that time of year, in new mexico?

There are no high elevations on I 10 in New Mexico. Flat, Straight, and high speed. The highest you will be is Texas Canyon in Arizona 4,975 ft. You can expect fairly high daytime temps, high 80's to mid 90's and mild night temps, high 50's to mid 60's
I have a fairly elaborate roll chart from Dallas to Phoenix if your interested. Has mile marker listings of all fuel/lodging/rest areas/etc.

ok cool. i didn't know that. i have never ridden west of el paso.

got all the fuel stops and rest areas taken care of, but thanx...

is the speed limit on i-10 75 mph?

plans might be changing. i'm looking into a route that would take me from dallas to kansas, then to denver, albequerque new mexico, oklahoma city, then back to dallas.

can anyone give me an idea of the weather and temps i might be seeing from denver to new mexico?

colder, can snow (not likely)! but the interstates are flat until you get around Raton NM. After Alb flat until you turn south and I haven't been on that one.

I just came through Denver the 1st week of July.. Major construction on I-25 causing backups in the middle of the day from North of Denver to Colorado Springs. Might want to check the DOT site for Colorado prior to picking that as a route.
