OK, just got back in from Turbo City after having the FPR installed. I also bought the rear rack ($99) to replace the silly Honda rack.

Now I'm not mechanical, but I feel I am tuned into how my bike feels like I have been with the others I've owned in the past. So here goes...

It's a improvement! Yep! Certainly is. Not dramatic as one poster pointed out, but it is certainly a improvement. Gone is the surges, the flat spots. Do I detect a bit more power in the acceleration? Or am I hoping for too much? Is there a reduction in vibration? I think so, but need more ride time to really determine that. The throttle response is more linear. The drive lash is still there, but what can you do about that? Nature of the beast I'm afraid. But it does seems easier to control and softer. Smooth throttle on, smooth throttle off. It's a no-brainer. Wish Honda had just installed it as stock! So for the better performance and for only $99 with $50 install fee (Tom did it himself; took an hour while I went down the street and had breakfast) again it's a no-brainer!

I also got the rear rack that Turbo City makes for the ST as a replacement for the stock Honda rack, which as we all know is completely useless. This rack is great! Really great! I like it better then the FPR! Looks cool in flat black and looks cool on the bike! Totally! Plenty of room for my soft roll bag, and I bet will hold a lot of camping gear in the future! Did I say how cool it looks! It does. I will send some pics soon of it. Feels real solid, and hell it looks really cool! Oh! I said that already... Can't help myself, it just looks so cool! OK, stop already Fred...

Tom was a very friendly guy. We chatted about the ST a lot. He has one of course and loves it. The heat and humidity was horrible, but he got it done and only charged me $50 for the FPR and rack installation. Nice! Did I say the rack looks cool? Yeah! It does!

BTW, the ST's seat does have forward and aft postitions! And you guys said it didn't! Shame! Shame! LOL. The bottom of the seat has three notches in it to position the seat back a bit, or forward a bit with it's up and down positions. Tom showed me how. Almost as cool as the rack!

So there you go. First impressions. As time and ride goes on I'll get a better feel for the upgrades and can better assess the improvements. But so far it seems pretty nice. And hell that rack looks really cool! :D :06biker:

The seat does have 3 levels to play with... don't know who told you otherwise... The manual would have explained how to move it ;)

Glad you like the FPR :D

I am curious...does the rack look cool or like a whale tale on the back the ST ;) ?

"There is no fore/aft adjustment other than what the seat moves in relation to the rear ledges of the front half. Seems like if may move about 3/8" to 1/2" to the rear as it moves from the lowest to the highest that's it."

A bit vague. I probably didn't read it right... :o:

What!? No comment about my decal!? You're slipping! ;)
