Hi Everyone!

My name is Tim Poliniak, and I run the www.hondacuraworld.com site, which I hope to be offering the best prices and service on all Honda motorcycle needs, as well as Honda and Acura automobiles :)

You'll notice that not all of the site areas are populated (I'm working on them), but if there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email or AIM to hondacuraworld@aol.com

I've known st_ryder for some time on another Honda board, and I've been given a warm welcome by Mellow, so I thought a good way to introduce myself would be with a special deal......

Now I know that with the hot temps that nobody's necessarily thinking about heated handgrips :p: , however I found that I could give a pretty darn good price on them, so here goes.....

http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=ST1300

I've listed the handgrips and wiring harness as Special items good through the end of August. All of our prices include shipping, just a 3.95 handling charge per order, regardless of size.

Well, that's enough selling......glad to be aboard, and hope to join in :)

Hey Tim, welcome to the fray. Will you be selling parts, too, or just the accessories?

We'll be doing parts as well.....anything Honda sells, I can get :)

If there's anything that you use on a regular basis, I can always list it in the Cycle Care section of the site.

Hello Tim. Went to the site but didn't see anything listed for the ST1100?
Did I miss where it is or is my machine to old??????

There are in fact only two accessories still available for the 97 ST1100:

Inner trunk bags (08162-MR510) priced at 63.70
Cycle Cover (08P34-MCS-100) priced at 101.96

At this point, Honda has a total of 24 of the inner trunk bags, and 40 of the cycle covers.

I just finished stocking up for the rest of the season, so you probably won't see an order from me anytime soon, but if your prices and service are good you'll have a customer for next year. What would be really good is if you had pricing available for things we tend to use a lot. I'm thinking spark plugs, air and oil filters, brake pads, the clutch lever bushing, moly paste, etc.

More than likely everything you need will be listed. I've spent the last week of 1 am nights getting all the product listed so far, so hopefully I'll have a lot more on within the next week or so.

Regardless, anyone's welcome to email or IM me with any questions, etc in the meantime, as well I'll have full access to all service publications from Honda.....like this one :)

I'd be interested if you ship to Canada?
Do you use other shipping methods like USPS which would save us the high customs brokerage fees that UPS normally charges.

What do you need those for? Do you have to swap them out? ;-)

I've bookmarked the site...will definitely hit it when it's time to stock up!

No, no, no... A drain bolt washer is what you chuck the drain bolt in to clean it while the oil is draining. :D

There's several ways I can do Canadian shipments:

1. I can send USPS, but the tracking and transit times are horrendous, typically.......

2. I can send UPS, of course

3. I can have parts send to Peninsula Imports, a Ducati dealer in Oakville Ontario, for pickup or shipment. This may or may not make sense to do depending on the final outcome of the price and if it has to be shipped from there. Still, it is an option :)

4. I can send FedEx or DHL also, but their third-party billing of duties and fees is cryptic......

5. If you're in Ontario, you're also welcome to pick up here in Buffalo, where I can offer an added pick-up discount :)

It all depends on the price you'd pay locally for the part. If I know what it is, and I can beat it to your door, I'll certainly try my best :)

hi Tim! I can say that he is easy to deal with, went down with 2 friends, we bought 4 helmets (2 for me) and everything was as ordered. Easier for me to just cross the border get the stuff and come home then deal with shipping...

I'm checking out the sites you mentioned.......

As far as www.hondaonlineparts.com , it looks like my prices work out to identically what theirs do, however we offer free shipping......it's not clear what you pay for shipping there until you actually enter your credit card info....

I found it surprising that they have an extra surcharge on the parts if they have to look them up for you.......I have never heard of such a thing. After all, that is their (my) job......and their return policies are less than favorable.

On the servicehonda website, they state:

"We ship via Fed EX. Shipping is added after your order is proccessed. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you with the shipping charges included"

So again, it's flying blind, with a minimum ship charge of 9.00. Doesn't seem like there's much reason to shop online there when you have to order, say, an air filter, oil filter, and plugs.

Of course their advantages are the fact that they have the complete parts catalogs online, and this comes at a price. The company that actually does the listings of the parts catalogs and turns them into a workable store takes a flat 10% cut of the order across the board.....I know this, because there are Acura and Honda vehicle websites that do the exact same thing. While convenient for the customer to be able to order in this fashion, it's not very cost-effective for the consumer.

As I have been for the last 6 years doing business online, I'm available by email, AIM (Hondacuraworld), and phone all day every day during the week, and usually at some point in the evenings to answer emails and such to help with whatever I can. I've got the parts catalog access at my desk, so I'll be able to help with anything you may need......and since you've done business with me in the past, you know that I'm nothing if not easy to reach :)

Unfortunately there isn't one. You'd have to email me the part numbers to hondacuraworld@aol.com , or for easy reference my prices seem to mirror those at the Honda Directline parts store, but with free shipping.

How are their shipping charges per your experience?

I don't have the P/N handy, but the Honda Pilot and the S2000 use the same drain bolt washer.

Tim - you can double check me on this.

Tim,

I just placed an order for the heated grips. I had bought aftermarket grips to install, but never got around to it. With the savings you have on the OEM heated grips, I figured I'd go ahead and order them for a more factory look & function. Today is saturday, I'll report back when I recieve them. (I'll probably put the aftermarket ones up for sale on the classifieds if anyone is interested).

Bob.
