What is the highest you've ever paid for a gallon of gas? If you bought it outside the US, you're responsible for your own conversion.

$1.32CDN/L  for 91 octane out east during FundySToc which works out to $4.50US for a US gallon. And the maximum prices are regulated in the Maritimes.

In the US, $3.599 for premium a few weeks after Katrina.
On my last trip to England, I paid 94p for a litre, which is US$1.78. In dollars per gallon, that's about $6.78.
You don't want to know how cheap it was last time I was in Bahrain.

$3.99.95 in good old Needles, CA. On the way home from Laughlin this year. How'd I do with the foreign currency exchange rate?

About a $1 a liter (~$4 / gallon) in Rome, in 2002. I'm sure it's a lot higher now.

Hurricane Katrina, then Rita put the hurt on gas prices here... $3.89 I think was the highest I paid after gas became hard to find in the Houston area... and I was lucky it was premium... it was very hard to find that

Yeah, good old Ludlow. I used to ride the HD from LA to Havasu every weekend and had to get a gallon to make sure I would make Needles or Barstow without running out. the other major ripoff town was Bridgeport on 395 between LeeVining and Garnerville-both places were 50 to 75 cents higher than anywhere else. $4.89
Cornudas Texas
Back BEFORE the ST when I only had a 4 gallon tank and a headwind induced 120-140 mile range limit I was really sweating it when I pulled up to the pump and found the lever locked and a no gas sign. I'm on reserve and 63 miles from El Paso. I went inside, because it was POURING rain and I needed a break from the gale force winds. Turns out there is gas but they limit it to only a couple of gallons b/c their gas delivery comes so seldom and the sign outside is to discourage cars from filling up (as if the price doesn't).
I'd have gladly paid $10 per gallon

About $5 to as much as $6 per gallon (it works out to that after you convert liters to gallons and Euros to $) in Germany, England and Greece on trips the past two summers.
