Telluride to Golden... Best Roads?

I'll be going to WeSTec from Telluride on the 4th. Which route would those in the know suggest?

Agree with Number 9... Good choice of roads...
If you want to, take the service roads after you either come down off
of Loveland pass ... You miss the
traffic of I-70 and hit a couple of the small towns along side the
Interstate... But DO take Rt. 6 at exit 244 to Golden..

If you can ride up Mt. Evans. 14,256 ft. Blacktop all the way to the top. It's just down I70 south of Idaho Springs. Hyw103

not trying to hijack, but what is the best way from Taos to Telluride. I will be riding NM and Co in September and want to go visit a friend in Telluride.

Got Streets and Trips?? This route will take you up to the East of
Telluride up the "Million Dollar Highway" If you have not been on that
one, you might want to take it...

Wife & I will be having lunch in Telluride on Sunday the 3rd. We'll be riding to Golden from Gunnison on the 4th using the route Number9 Suggested. Maybe a side trip from Buena Vista up Cottonwood Pass.
