I'm set to go in the morning. My local Starbucks opens at 5AM with me waiting at the door. Then on to I78 west and pick up I70 in Pennsylvania. I've picked the right day to journey. I'm just near the Statue of Liberty on the New Jersey side of the Hudson river. A 50% - 80% chance of rain is predicted for tomorrow. The forcast radar shows an almost solid band of rain all the way west to Kansas City. I'm so glad I got new tires and a rainsuit. I do get better gas mileage in the rain, but I would gladly pay the difference for sunshine if anyone knows who to call. This will be the last time I wash... and wax.....the bike before a trip. I only need rain to wash bugs off. I was just trying for better aerodynamics in case it was sunny and nice. Tallyho... Topeka. My presence will probably cause snow in Telluride Saturday. See you all there.
