A nice review in the present issue of "Motorcycle Escape", thinking about giving one a try, and wondering if any of you have already purchased one and can give feedback on how pleased you are.
THANKS.

THANKS.
I have been looking at the Olympia brand for some time now and was seriously considering the AST. A dealer in San Antonio sent some coupons in the mail for some great discounts and being an Olympia dealer I thought I would check them out. When I got there they were out of the AST but did have the Bushwacker which is basically the same jacket just a little more ventilation. I ended up with one and the matching pants (the sizes run long in the pants so beware of that....need to find someone to hem them). The liners are thermolite and extremely warm and full coverage. (this should be great for the winter time and cooler temps)
I took it for a test run today to check the ventilation and can say that I found it to be extremely warm especially the pants...yes I took the liners out. So I will be lugging in a bag to Golden for the cooler temps there but think it is too hot for everyday use here in Texas during the hotter temps.
I believe you would have the same problem with the AST as it has a little less venting. The quality is great and the armour is CE approved although the elbow pads seems like they might twist in a crash as the adjustibility is not alot but I guess that depends on your arm size.
Hope this helps.....
By the way I got it for 189 so you might want to look around to make sure you get the best deal. This was the best I was able to find
