Just rolled my ST off the center stand after getting gas while sitting on it, and rolled it into my bare calf (yes, I know shorts are a bad idea).......curious if I'm the only stupid one to have done this.....made a nice purple burn in an oval the size of my fist....ouch....

Only time that's happened to me is when changing the oil. Just a quick touch, not really a real burn. Otherwise, I'm never even close to my bike when it's warm without jeans or more on my legs.

My right knee (at CampSTOC) when I had my hands full & held the side bag lid with my leg while loading... didn't take but a touch

yep i did it! just washed the bike. shorts, tennis shoes, tank top, no lid, all the wrong things. just took it around the block so i could just ride it up the driveway. stopped to chat with a neighbor with the engine running got it a little warm you know. parked it in the garage saw a little drip of water and reached with a towl to get it. and oh yea, pain blisters etc. lesson learned.
from now on ill call the kids out to wipe it off

Its nearly impossible for me to burn my legs as I AWAYS wear either riding pants or jeans and boots that come up mid-shin. What I do burn out of ignorance are my hands. I have a tendancy to grab hot things while I'm working on the bike (motor running of course)....ouch! I should learn to spit on the pipe before I grab it.

Got my arm while plugging the rear tire. I love the smell of my own charred flesh in the morning...

Re 2 Brothers - i agree, if you are prone to burning your leg on your pipes, get a set of 2B carbon fiber pipes. They don't get hot!

Burned a finger once on an oil change. Never had a burn on the leg though.

Stupid enough to do it twice. First time it left a really ugly blister a little bit bigger than a silver dollar. Second time it was just a brush, but still caused a blister.
