Well, nothing like Deals Gap or Nor Cal Hwy 9, but not too staight for us, Flatlanders :)

Couple more miles North and a bit West... some pretty good riding...
any of the "alphabet" roads in W/SW Wi... Roads are in good condition..

:bow1: thanks, samal,...nice of you to post so i can relive the experience of riding that a little over couple weeks ago...i presume you were riding east out of galena?...i got lost coming into galena from riding west from warren...very nice change of pace for us flatlanders (& also to see other bikers out on weekday was refreshing)!:bow1: ...returning to homebase in west-central illinois after savana, il i just kept saying boooorrrrriiiiinnnnngggg to IL84 south!...take care!:03biker:

that video was done while riding on Stagecoachtrail westbound from Lena to Galena, and then blackjack rd from Galena south to Hanover. we went more south from there to Sabula and crossed the river and went up Rt 52 to Dibuque, IA and took Rt 20 back to Chicagoland

Now in the dead of winter, when we cannot ride, we Midwesterners can put on all our riding gear and watch the video. That may sound absurd, but I get pretty desperate to ride by mid-January. That really is a nice area to ride in. I was there for a few days last year and enjoyed the roads very much.
Silver, you should have crossed over into Iowa at Dubuque and taken US 52 and then US 67 South... MUCH better than IL 84
