It's hard to believe how quite it got on this board all the sudden. I mentioned it to the wife and she said, "Why's that?". I had to explain to her that all the noisy people are currently on the road, headed to Golden, CO.......the lucky devils.

Ya all have fun now and be careful!

Hey, no one said it would be a long lull. Figured with all the talk in the WeSTOC forum about laptops that I'd be seeing some stuff as soon as people started arriving. I figure that by the time I'm home from riding and BBQing with rickj and the SoCal gang this Sunday, the board will be hopping again.

What I was trying to say in my not to subtle way was I'm jealous that I can't be on the road to Golden with all my ST friends. I hope to see the board filled with exciting stories of exploits on the road to Golden.

I may not be there, but I’m surely interested in what’s happening.

I'm thinking that everyone is back on the road on their way home. Pretty quiet here in cyberspace. Sure hope everyone gets home safe. There should be a roll call for participants to make sure everyone gets home safely.

I made it home at 4:30 this afternoon. Only incident I had was a crazy lady in a Ford SUV who decided to make my lane her very own. Don't know how she missed the screaming horns inches from her door but I'm glad there was a wide shoulder there. She caught up with me on the south side of Oklahoma City and gave me an "I'm sorry" wave.

Just looked at all the pics. When is WeSTOC next year? I want to block the time in my calendar NOW!

I believe it is August 9-11, 2007 in Redmond, WA.

Arrived home to Folsom at 9:45pm Sunday safe and sore(stock seat).

Total mileage for trip 3,870

Touched ground in 6 states, that's including my own.

2 close calls. First one like Fred's, a mini SUV made a hard left lane change while I was alongside his front door:eek: he never looked over:mad: got on the breaks and counter steered as far as I could go(concrete divider) wasn't until I swinged back onto the road behind him that he realized what happened and give me the I'm so sorry wave. second one was just north of Bakersfield on interstate 5, a punk in a tuner car was tailgateing me as I passed a big rig, for some reason after I moved over to the right lane to get out of his way he moved with me and got closer:confused: while I was trying to figure a way to shake him I suddenly caught a dark movement off to my right, a large dog I thought was running right in front of me:eek: banked left to avoid, the Einstein behind me immediately accelerated and slammed into the poor innocent animal, knocking it into my path. At this point my speed had diminished and I was able to easily avoid what I now could see was a wild pig!
I could hear much noise coming from the front of the punks car as he pulled off onto the right shoulder. Happy that I didn't hit it and sorry for the animal, but really happy that the Wigger now has a broken front end. Mike:03biker:

Serves him right IMNSHO. There is justice after all, too bad for the pig though. :(

Wow Mike, a wild pig and a wigger!

And to think, our only unsolicited excitement was a few deer that ran in front of us along side Echo Lake on the Mt. Evans ride.

I am so glad you missed that pig!

I'm sure it would take some help from admin to change your handle from Squirrel Hunter to Pig Hunter. :D :D :D
