I'm looking for a good Honda dealer (service department) in San Francisco and in Seattle to replace tires and do an oil change.

Dealers that would be likely to have a few sets of OEM tires for the ST1300 in stock.

I'd appreciate any suggestions (or warnings).

Thanks.

The bigger dealers and service centers in the Seattle area would be Lake City Powersports, Cycle Barn in Lynnwood, Renton Motorsports in Renton, and Hinshaw's Motorcycle Store in Auburn. There are several others, but I think those would be your best bet as far as arranging impromtu service or parts.

A couple smaller (but still pretty good sized shops) in the area:

I don't have any experience with any of these guys with the ST1300 though. I know Cycle Barn and Renton Motorsports both typically have ST1300's on the floor. I bought my V-Star from Renton Motorsports and have bought parts/accessories from Cycle Barn and Renton Motorsports without complaint. I usually favor those two because one's close to my work and the other is close to my home.

If you're going to be waiting while your bike is serviced, I'd strongly recommend Renton Motorsports. They have a full cafe/bar that overlooks an indoor motocross track. There are regular practices and races. There's also a cineplex and fast food within walking distance. Easy to kill the time. Heck, let me know when you're there and maybe I can join you for some brew. I live 5 minutes away.

There are also some larger dealers further south in Tacoma and Olympia. I'm sure they're in Honda's dealer directory.

dont know but you may want to try different tires??? they're good tires, but I just didnt get enough miles out of mine! they're the same tires that came on my triumph 10 years ago, and I only got about 6,000 out of them.
on my ST the mileage is at 6,700, and I'm doin' at least a 2,000 mile round trip in a couple weeks, the tires MIGHT make it, but I can't take that risk!
(Original tires are Bridgestone - battlax I'm assuming??)
I went with Metzler MEZ4 for the last 8 years or so,get around 9,000 miles on them; now they stopped making the so I'm going to try Metzler Z6 tires...
I ordered through hondadirect and have the dealer put them on (you could just oder them through the dealer, but it was about 15 bucks cheaper(Im sure they will make up that difference when I get the instalation bill, but I get them quicker to my house than the dealer said when he would get them...)http://www.hondadirectlineusa.com/stores/byProduct.asp?prd=Tires&str=10&ID=913543

oil is not hard to change! havnt done on mine yet but I will in the next couple days!
look at the bottom of the main forums under ST1300 ARTICLES - SERVICE!

Lake City Powersports are good people to work with. They are about 5 mi. from our house. If you decide to use them, let me know and I'll pick you up and drag you over to our house for some grub.
