I bought a pair of these last week. I was able to give them a try yesterday and I am very happy with my $39.00 investment. These boots are worth every penny and then some.:D

Nice deal. I bought a pair of these from Sierra Trading last year, but I think they were $45 at the time. They are still going strong and broke in nicely. And comfy and look OK to wear at work too. The only problem I've had is that the eyelets come unglued. A drop of super glue and they are good to go again.

Mike,
How did the sizing run? I find some shoes/boots run smaller or larger than my normal size 9.

NIce call. Sierra was out of my size however. Did a search and found Amazon had the same boots+ more styles. (says they ship from Sierra ok?)
Ordered the low mens boot(no lace-side zip--same price-39 bucks-4 shipping and no sales tax. Cannot ever have enuf stuff. :) :bow1:
I know this is an old post, but found Sierra still selling them. Don't think they're worth $110 retail they claim, but agree, $40+shipping and the boot fits well. Plenty of toe room and stiff ankle support. Riding last night down into the 30's and they stayed nice and warm. Good starter boot for new riders or those on a budget.

Ok, major bummer, Rockies just lost game 1 (like it wasn't obvious in the 5th inning, but I was holding out). :(
Mine are still going strong two years later! I only wear them for commuting now (8 miles of back residential roads) and opt for regular boots for normal riding.

Sierra has another style - the Honda Foreman - over the ankle and has a steel toe. Used to be listed as a MC boot but is now in the athletic section. I'm into the 3rd year/25,000+ miles on my first pair. Still going strong. Very comfortable and the steel toe really gives a positive connection with the shifter. Last year when Google checkout started up they had a $10 off deal if you used Google checkout. I bought 2 more pairs in separate transactions. Can't beat $29+shipping.

Yah any ideal on sizing? I normally wear a 10.5 and my son where's a 13? any one order these sizes? or any general info on the sizing of the boots?
I'm hard to fit, need a lot of toe room and have high arches. Plenty of room for me. Enough to use thicker insoles or socks. Don't know if that helps.

Did you order the size you normally wear? and were they constant with that?

I can only speak to the Foreman style. It runs just a tad large so I can wear thick socks, insoles if I want or just regular socks. Either way works fine. I ordered my usual size which is 12.
I did order another style, forget which, and returned them with no trouble so I bet an exchange if you get the wrong size would be painless.

Bought a pair of these from Sierra in response to this thread....
These boots were verrrrry inexpensive.... and arrived post-haste (3 days!)
They look good out of the box, and fit well (ordered my normal size 11...)
AND... Are likewise wide enough for an old man's footsies...
HOWEVER...
During my sunny-day bike "preflight" I had to service the tire inflation. While bending and down on one knee and reaching the rear stem --
The usual -- unusual postures needed to check everything --
After which -- my new boots were pretty badly scuffed up on the toes... It was almost like the factory dye finish wasn't fixed well to the (faux) leather.
A little Kiwi black polish and a fast buffing brush colored it back to near normal... but I was definitely surprised they got banged up with just normal knocking around before a ride.
Has anyone else noticed the fragile cosmetic finish on these inexpensive well fitting inventions??
Any suggestions....
TIA...
Yep. Gotta polish 'em if you want to keep em purty. :)
Mine scuff but leather is not damaged except where they've touched moving asphalt. I don't have high expectations so if they last a year, Ill be happy.
