Am looking for a pair of well made INSULATED motorcycle boots. Any recommendations?

The key here is something with significant protection from the elements -- thicker leather, a layer of insulation, a solid shin protector, that sort of thing.

THANKS. Dennis

I use the Oxtar Matrix Goretek boots. These are not insulated, but with wool socks over top of Silk socks I have never had cold feet, even on extended rides. Not an issue with bulk either. Can't remember seeing any insulated riding boots advertised.

I'd take a real good look at Red Wings.

They are built like steel.

They are comfortable to walk in all day (I actually wear them every day regardless of if I'm riding).

They are "stealth" enough that you don't feel self concious.

They are waterproof.

They are pretty warm in cold weather (well, cold enough to still be considered riding conditions).

I have a closet full of all different types of purpose-built riding boots and I have to say...I still end up wearing the Red Wings 99% of the time.

+2 on the Oxtar Matrix. They are not too hot and have driven to as low as 35f comfortably with just a pair of socks. Great boot.

Dennis,

Not really listed as insulated but they do have lining and are water proof, Sidi Sport Tepor. Coldest I've had them out in so far is high 40's - low 50's. I really like them even for the summer.
