Ok....I must be a glutton for punishment. Or, I feel so much like Santa getting these items for great deals, it's actually kind of fun.
Staintunes for the ST1300.....
Soooo.....let's throw this out and see how it works....
$800 and I pay half the shipping cost.....
If anyone likes that price, and they should, let me know. There is no minimum order level for these, so even if we get just a few people who want them, we can do it. Very different arrangement than the Kisan....
I won't close this for a while, as I am sure people will want to check this out. $800 is the lowest around, with the next lowest being $810.
Count me in for a set...who else is with me?

$800.00 .... Good grief!! I paid $715 about a year ago. Those things have certainly gone up.
However..... let me count my $$ change. I may be able to join in. I had a "mishap" .. a few weeks ago and although the bike and I came out just fine, the STaintunes didn't fair as well! Left one bent bad. Right one somehow or the other also got bent up .... ? Although they seem to work fine, I don't know if I can bare to keep looking at them. I clean the bike - and all I can see is the bent 'tunes. I get on the bike - and all I can see is the bent 'tunes. You get the picture.
Keep me posted.

I ordered a set from Atlanta Cycle a couple weeks ago for $735. Not in until beginning to mid Oct. but at that price I'll wait.

I can tell you that anyone selling them at $735 is doing two things:
1. Going "upside down" after shipping.
2. Violating the Staintues reseller agreement. Rules are quite explicit on advertised rates and they cannot fall below a certain level. If they were reported they'd lose the ability to sell them.
At my price I can cover the shipping, as they are NOT the lightest nor the smallest items to send, and make a TINY bit afterwards for the effort.
As I said, this group buy isn't for everyone, but for those that can afford it, it's a great deal.
As an authorized dealer, I can warranty cover these and not worry about ever getting my dealer privileges revoked for violating my agreement.

Oh and Atlanta Cycle?
They have the price at $765 and NO FREE SHIPPING!!!! And they also miscalcualted the shipping weight, because at 5 pounds, they could only be shipping ONE of the exhausts!!!!
So in my deal, you actually are doing just as well, and buying from a fellow ST'er.
And mine? IN STOCK!!!!!

Jeff - I didn't mean to upset you. Just offered a little info. But does this mean it's free shipping or half shipping on the group buy? It's also not a matter of being able to afford something it's about getting the best product for your hard earned money. Again I didn't mean to offend anyone.

So...how would one go about participating?

Well, here is how we can do it...
Send me a PM to indicate that you are committed and have the money ready.
I will set a deadline to order.
We will process payment as we did with the Kisan group buy, ordering with a discount code on www.metricconnections.com. It will handle the credit card processing right there.
Then I will place the order and ship them ASAP.
And no offense taken whatsoever.
The problem with people that price TOO low is they damage the market for reputable businesses that sign sales agreements. Hard to compete with an artificially low price when you are forced to advertise yours at MSRP.

I paid $770 with tax and shipping included. Bought from Gilroy Honda.
Guess the manufacturer must have raised their price on the pipes??

anyone have any performance numbers for the STaintunes?
also a sound clip would be a great selling point. I would love to hear them first. ... Matt
