Ran across this on another forum and plan on getting in on it. Wanted to pass it along to you guys.
The webstie shows that so far there are 17 people signed up for a jacket liner, so that means we get them for $132. And there are 15 signed up for the Heat-Trollers, so that means we get the full 30% off those too.

Thanks number9. I am already suited up in Gerbings and so is the SO, but for those that aren't, this is a good deal.

Looks like they made the 30% for the group buy on the heat-trollers and the liners.

I've have both the warm'n'safe jacket liner and multiple heat-trollers. I'm very pleased with all, as well as with the company's customer service. The warm'n'safe liner has a couple of features which I think make it superior to the Gerbing.
First, the sides of the liner are elastic. This enables a very snug fit, which keeps the heating elements in contact with your body for much improved heat transfer. (Note: I normallly wear a medium in shirts and jackets, but ended up with a small in the jacket liner so it would fit snugly).
Second, the warm'n'safe liner can be connected so that both the liner and attached gloves are controlled by one heat-troller, or seperately. I think the Gerbing has to be ordered either/or. With the warm'n'safe, you can change your mind.
Go to the warm'n'safe web site and read the story about the Gerbing heat controller. I've never used the current Gerbing model, but I've had good luck with the official heat-troller model. And yes, you'll want at least one controller. Otherwise you'll be switching them on and off constantly: they get way to hot if left on full time. Personally, I need the gloves turned up higher than the liner, so I use a dual controller.

This group buy will also work well for Canadians. FarkleMasters confirmed to me they will ship via USPS to negate the excessive UPS ground brokerage fees all Canadians despise. Of course GST/PST are still collected.

How is the W&S jacket wired for this? Just trying to get a visual. If I want to use a dual controller, but just one channel to do the jacket & gloves, I imagine the gloves connect to the jacket and the jacket to the heat troller. BUT, what if I want to run the jacket on one channel and the gloves on another channel? How is the jacket wired for this? Does it have 2 jacks to allow this? Just trying to decide what I want before the order.
I don't have any heated gear yet, and will only get the jacket right now. But if/when I get gloves in the future, I may want them inline with the jacket or may decide I need them controlled seperate from the jacket.

The W&S jacket uses 3 SAE connectors. One connector is the "main" that you connect to a controller and a power source. If you want the jacket and gloves to use the same controller, plug the other two connectors together. If you want them to be controlled seperately, plug a second controller into the glove harness and another power port. It's all neatly done. The main connector is contained in zippered pocket so it's out of the way most of the time. The secondary plugs are at the waist and are generally out of sight.

I think all the newest W&S liners use coax connectors instead of sae connectors, which were on the older liners.

That sounded odd, so I went and checked. Turns out you get to choose the type of connector you want, either coax or SAE. I went with SAE because my old Gerbings Heat-Troller was SAE. Still, more choice = good in my book.

Called and talked to Catfish and got myself set up for the jacket liner, a Dual Portable Controller and a belt pouch (not on GB price).

To echo Bob's comments, my wife and I have Warm & Safe brand liners w/ heattrollers and absolutely love them. In fact, no matter what the air temp, the wife won't get on the bike unless her liner is packed.
Case in point, we're both wearing our heated liners in the avatar at left. It was about 45ºF with a stiff wind when that photo was taken -in June.
W&S stuff is first rate. Unlike some stuff I've bought, I don't regret purchasing from them one bit.
Did anyone get contacted from this group buy?
Or did you call them?
I want two setups and signed up...

I changed emails and a few phone calls with Catfish. He said that you sign up on the website for each item you want and when they get ready to order he will contact you (us) for billing/shipping info.

Thanks for the info! I signed up for the jacket and controller.
I am also signed up for both but am wondering about coax vs SAE. My bike has Powerlet outlets so I (assume) I will need an adapter. Do I go with coax or SAE, is there an advantage in my situation of one over the other?
