I have a pair of Oxtar Matrix boots I have been very pleased with but I will need to replace them in the not too distant future. This is the first pair of dedicated riding boots I have owned. My foot is on the wide side and even though the Oxtar's fit OK I find myself wishing they a were a little wider. When the time comes to replace the Oxtar's I would like to have a boot that is the appropriate width. Can anyone advise if there are good quality riding boots that come in widths? Thanks.

I have a pair of Alpine Star Web goretex boots that fit my EE wide feet really well and as an added bonus they have kept my feet dry. All the Sidi and Gaerne boots I have tried on over the years have been too narrow.

+1 Alpinestars.I have a pair of waterproof and a pair of dedicated roadracing boots. Both fit my EE feet nice. You can also get Redwing M/C boots in wide widths.I have a pair for touring. Not much ankle protection, but you can walk around comfortably in them.

Good luck. I've spent a number of hours researching a source for wide riding boots. I am blessed with EEEE width feet. It seems that most of the boots out there are mass market designs in "medium" width. Even the Oxtar Matrix was pretty narrow when compared to my Hobbit feet. Cruiserworks came the closest to fitting with their extra wide side zip model. It is a really nice boot but kind of styled for the cruiser rider. My riding boots are Herman Survivors "Commander" combat boots in a leather/cordura mix. Very wide and very waterproof. $49.00 at Wally World.
