so i'm at the crux of a conundrum, which one to get...i'm going to place an order for a set and can't think of which to get, just get the basic C2's in Aluminum or the C5's in Titanium (won't get c/f, don't think c/f looks right on the red 2005 edition)
anyone have any pics of the C2's on the ST? i haven't seen on yet...

Hey Chiller
I have titanium C5's on my ST and was in the same boat as you. When I did my research I found that the C2's were just a little bit small in size on the bike compared to the C5's. The internals are the same on both mufflers, just the C5's have a bigger outside shell, as well I got the titanium pipes as they are lightweight and even after going on a 500 kilometer jaunt I can still touch my pipes and not even come close to getting burnt. In fact they are just lukewarm to the touch. That being said the titanium C5's are a little more pricey then the Aluminum C2's so I guess your pocketbook will have to decide :). I was unlucky in the fact that I clipped a cage turning left in front of me and lowsided on the right and it scratched up my stock pipe so I was albe to get the C5's and just pay the difference between the stock pipes and the C5's and I was suprised that each stock pipe was almost $500 Canadian so I was only out of pocket about $300 Canadian. Also the sound is a very nice deep rumble. Can't really compare it to anything but it shakes my garage floor and sets off car alarms. LOL

Dude, those two brothers are the sweetest pipes I have ever seen on an ST. How much? slip ons? Fuel adjustment?
Thanks, Matt

Just put the C5 CF on my 06. They're great. Sound and looks. I don't think I would have liked the smaller diameter on the bike because the bike would dwarf them. Personal choice. Didn't have to do any remapping. Put the K&N filter and the FPR 61 in and it runs great.

Just curious guys... for the price of CF or Titanium C5's you could've had Staintunes which, best I can tell, seem to fit better both literally and aesthetically. So what made you go with the TB's?

I would not purchase anything from two brothers. Their business practices toward a deceased ST owner was not in my book fair.

 Please do tell, I can't wait to hear this one..............
I put the C2's on mine after a dyno base run, re-checked, was a little lean, Turbo City set me up with a FPR, rechecked again on dyno and was perfect.
look a few posts down this page at I Done Did It Dyno Runs from me for sheets and more info.
and comments from Spencer..
Jerry stopped by the house Saturday and I had a chance to look at, and hear
the new pipes.
Gotta admit, I was a big proponent of the stock ST pipes but......
After seeing how good the new M2's fit the lines of the 1300 (fit is perfect
lined up with the back of the bags, width and shape looks like it belongs, does
not look like they will touch down in a tip over) The pics do not do them justice.
Curious that it has been said that the Two-Bros are loud, I did not here him
pull up into my drive?
Then he fired her up, shweeet, REALLY DEEP tone, no raspy sound, lots of
sound "pressure" when standing directly behind the bike, but not a lot of noise
if you know what I mean? Much quieter at any other angle other than
directly behind. Much nicer sound than I expected from the ST.
Jerry had said previously that it sounded like an RC-51 and he was wrong,
I think it sounds better, same cadence and "big block" sound, but deeper.
When he left my house I was surprised how the volume didn't increase as he
pulled away, by the time he was 50 ft down the road I could barely hear
anything more that a deep growl. Could still easily hear the gear drive over
the pipes even as he rounded the block and kicked in the afterburners
I am impressed, and will never forgive Jerry for making me want these pipes.
When I went back in the house Tina's comment was "nice pipes", when I
asked her how she liked the sound, she said she didn't hear them from inside?
So now I guess I'm save'n for two sets.......damn you Jerry

I did MY research, Staintunes is the "Midas Muffler" shop for Euro motorcycles from the best I can tell. On their website the only "Performance Oriented" experience they have is "Off Road Exhaust Systems". Two Bro's and Erion have done more for Honda's than any other company's have. It's all about what you like and who you want to give your money to I guess. :coffee1:
