I realize we are sorta undergoing a rebuild here since the crash. I lost my previous name, and have re-registered myself, We lost a thread here about possibly puttin together a group buy on a Sargent seat. If it gets resurrected, I am certainly interested. Thanks

Piveteau,

I think it was Parts Monster who was trying to get a read on the possible number of interested members so he could approach Sargent.

He was a new member and new vendor so all of his stuff is lost, it appears that the vendor area on the home page is vapor also.:(

I haven't seen him post since the resurrection and can't locate his site with a search? Maybe someone who saved the link can e-mail him and ask him to re-register and re-post?

Yeah, it was Part Monster and the last I looked at that poll it was up to 38.

Hopefully, he'll register again and get it moving...

I'm after a seat, backrest and case protectors. I'd really, really like to get them in my hot little hands by the end of the month if not sooner.

I'm interested in the Sargent group buy as well. M/C Larry sells regularly for $528. Hopefully we can do a little bit better as a group? Bob

For the 1100, you have to send them your seat... then wait.... Mines been there for about 5 weeks now... patiently waiting and looking at the snow in my driveway... If you need a seat to send them, I will let you use mine as long as I like the new seat. Send me an email if you are interested. It will be a few weeks before I can get some miles on it though.

Not to throw a wrench in the spoke but I bought my Sargent from Parts Monster and the seat came in a box that when I lifted it off the porch, the bottom fell out and so did the seat. The rear steel bracket was bent and I had to go to Sargent directly because they said Parts Monster wasn't an authorized dealer of theirs. He buys from distributors around the US and ships to you. Buyer beware.

The harder the seat the better I always say. The Corbin's the same way and people swear by them. I love my Sargent.

You have the Vinyl covered Granite called a Corbin,,, confused with a Sargent...

I had a Corbin on my Connie and,,, well,,, uuummm,,, it was hard out of the box,,, and hard at 30,000 miles too... LOVED the Oval back Backrest that worked on the Corbin!!! It was just,,, that seat was hard,,, HARD I SAY!!! That seat is what got me starting to use a "Airhawk"...

Sargent I still was using the Airhawk but decided,,, I really didn't need to... Did 2,,, 1,000 mile days in a row on a Sargent,,, and it felt great!!!
