It's Wednesday, and even though the board no longer has the chat button, the chat server is still warmed up and ready.

I might add that the chat time is 8:00 CST or 9:00 EST on Wednesdays for those of you who don't know. I'm sure some will be early as usual. Buttpaste.

Sorry guys, as you know, I'm not the chatty-type.. LOL... I was home but had some errands to run... you know how you get just before a trip when all of a sudden 10 things need to be done now? Well, it's a week 'til my trip and the 10 things already need to be done now... and I'm sure 10 more will show up... however, last week wasn't so bad.. blah blah blah..
I missed it... sorry, hopefully squid wasn't too annoyying.

blrfl (Mark) may have to jump in to help you on that one.. chat won't work for my while I'm at work and going through a proxy.. at least not using the link from the site, I probably could get it to work with a different chat client but not with he java interface built into the site.

Ok.. I turned up :) and spent a little time trying to figure out who Squid was :confused: as the handle didn't ring any bells for me.:mrgreen: .
Eventually figured it out ... D'oh!
So what time does everyone appear ? Please give time as GMT then I have a hope of getting there when everyone else does :shrug1:

The "official" chat time is Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. Central time which is ... uh ... carry the "1" ... convert to cubic hectares ... divide by the square root of Pi ... Thursdays at 0100 GMT during the summer and 0200 GMT during the winter. (Info on dates daylight time dates here (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=70).)
The chat server is open 24x7, and sometimes we have spontaneous chats, so watch the "Who's in Chat" box on the front page. If you want to start an AU/NZ chat, pick a time and go for it...

Mark brings up a very good point, there many from different time zones and countries on the site and we picked the 8 CST as it works well for most in the U.S. and Canada...
However, if someone wants to start up a regularly scheduled chat for say, NZ the just let us know and we'll get that posted and put on the schedule.. as Mark states, it's always open ..

Made it this time, saw there were a few in the chatroom on the "who's in chat?" feature and.... PROXY. You guys are chatting while I still be at work.
I will continue to scheme and see if I can work my way around this minor impediment. :(

I had been trying to get on chat through the link on the site and never could either, but then I tried the link in the topic and - voila - I was in!
So. It looks like the site link could use some review?
When I do a properties on the site link it shows:

I noticed tonight that you now have to click on the Whos in Chat to go to the chat page, there used to be a link at the top where it now says donate.
Others say they cannot go to chat from the link on the front page and have to use the link in post here.

Because of international weirdness, I rely on the reminder from this thingy to let me know when chat night is on. Mainly because it is chat day for me.
But no one seems to update it so I don't get the "We want you to talk with us" email. :(
Has chatting been happening without me?? OMG!!
Can I humbly request that the Chatty Chaps and Chicks update this thread when chatting. I still don't know what "Bump" means but it sends me to the chat room!!
