I was at the dealer and asked for a test ride of the 2007 Goldwing....My opinion of this ride is simply....OH MY GOD what an unbelievably smooth and comfortable machine. Why did I test ride it? The main reason is for the comfort of my wife. She likes the ST but just doesnt have that it feeling for her.
After just a couple of minutes you start to realize the weight and size are not an issue at all.
Long story short I pick it up on Tuesday...they made me an offer I couldnt refuse.
Oh yeah the ST stays in the family...there is no way thats going away

Like they say... if you don't want to buy one, don't ride one.
Congrats, you're going to love it :D

Wow, you are one lucky dog! I dare not let my wife near a Goldwing, at least until I can afford to keep both.
Congrats!

I know exactly what you mean - it's a great bike, congratulations. I wish I could've kept my ST, too.

I've ridden the GL1800, and it's a great bike, but I'll still stick with my ST. The GL simply doesn't have the lean angle capabilities that I prefer.
The ergos beat the ST hands-down, though.

You cannot go wrong with a Gold Wing. And man, the fact that you can keep the ST is outstanding to say the least. Have fun!!!!!:biker:

ST and a GL?? Now thats a guy that covers all the bases. In terms of sheer comfort, and long distance legs, the GL is the champ. And once a passenger EVER sits on that throne back there, you're prolly never gonna get her back on the ST.
Way to go.

That's how I avoided buying a Wing. Salesman I know tempted me for a couple years to a test ride, I resisted. Then he tempted me with his ST, the rest is History.
msnyder755, congrats on the Wing. Now you have 2 great bikes!

Congrats! was the dealer 35N Honda in New Braunfels?
I will adding back a Goldwing (had a 2001) after my son graduates in 2009.
Hope to keep the ST also.

Michael, Congratulations. What color and option package did get?
I went with the Burgandy color with the Audio/comfort/navi package which is the reason I didnt bring it home...it was still in the crate and had to be put together.

Pics will be available as soon as she gets home

You and your wife are going to love the Wing. There just is not any other two up bike in it's league. Congratulations!

I had to make a BIG decision when I went to pick my '06 up. They had one of those burgundy looking things sitting in between two black ones. I was about to pull the trigger on the burgundy, when I got to thinking, what about the two black trailers at home and the black ST you are going to order today. So I have two black bikes. The one you chose is a beautiful color.
Congratulations on your new bike. I've successfully avoided test riding a Wing for several years because I'm afraid I'd fall in love with it. The bike you bought is the one that scares me most....could you email me every week and tell me that you hate the bike because the color has faded to pink and it leaks oil like a Harley? Thanks for your support.

Well didn't get to pick it up today....:( :( :(
To much rain and storms around this afternoon....Just didnt feel right about taking a bike I have very limited experience on into those conditions for the first ride. Supposed to be a little better tommorow so hopefully it will stay away long enough to at least get it home.

Congrats. Must be nice to be able to afford both and have a wife that allows it too! I have a hard time just getting on my ST other than to and from work. Fortunately, I can slip away from the job on a regular basis...weather permitting!!
