I had just purchased the ST and along with a friend who had just purchased the Triumph Sprint we decided to take a ride out to a friends farm as he had just made the finishing touches to a prototype farm utility bike which comes standard with -
tipping tray
Mobile phone holder (which is to say he had an electical cable tie holding the phone in position)
GPS (which is to say he has an electrical cable tie holding
his Garmin in place)
Disc brakes up front - although these should be used as
a 'last option' as owners manual does recommend
deployment of an oversize brick beneath one of the rear
wheels - (both if carrying any more than the rider)
Fashioned leather helmet is also included in purchase - which
may be seen dangling over the bars.
Cluchless automatic gearbox as per '06 FJR
And as would be expected - belt drive has been included.
My friend donned his leather helmet and goggles and demonstrated the bikes handling prowess and power. Whilst the Sprint rider felt is looked somewhat 'vanilla' I, being an ST pilot thought is was impressive indeed!
So - I have two questions for my ST brothers
1) What should we call this ground braking machine? and
2) Can any of you (non aussie) members tell me the name of the animal lurking in the background???
I am sure we can muster up a novel Australian artifact for the first person with the correct answer and for the person with the best name.
Technology is alive and well in the great western farming plains 'downunder'!
