Hope you make it down Thursday!!! I think,,, it will be cool having all the bikes lined up under the VERY cool street lights Casey has... Great picture I am hoping...

Main Street in front of my house is called "The National Road" and I just HATE to not have at least 1 deal at my house so as not to lose the "Hometown" feel how this all started... ;)

Well,,, we have 400 pre-ordered... They are not paid for but,,, still,,, a good idea on what people want...

Helen said she would EASY sell 100 extras if I have them... I have some great helpers asking to help sell the shirts already (((Curt and Rebecca Vaughn so you can buy your shirt from a Iron Butt Rally participant,,, how COOL is THAT!!!)))

After 9 phone calls about T-Shirts so far,,, Cool-Max might not be in the cards... They have never transfered onto a Cool-max and they are trying to find out if it will just as good as a 100% cotton...

So,,, I MIGHT just have short sleeve,,, long sleeve cotton shirts... The Bestest heavy cotton T-Shirt I can get in the right shade of Burgandy...

So,,, what do you all think??? 50/50 split on Short Sleeve to Long Sleeve??? Or,,, most want a Short sleeve???

The supplier can only supply us with the Red/Dark Red/almost burgandy shirts in sizes from XXXL - Small... Both Long Sleeve and short in the same weight shirt...

The XXXXL can only be had in White/Black/Grey,,, no Red to match the other shirts... I told the guy who is making the shirts that I NEED,,, these shirts!!! So,,, the Grey in the print can only work in the Black or White T-Shirt... Rick said the White would work the best...

Opinions??? Still interested in a XXXXL in White... Sorry,,, these T-Shirts are a pain,,, but I like them too,,, and they make the Mission/Orphanage fund a lot of money so,,, they are worth the pain... 8^)

I'm good for two XL... one long and one short sleeve. Me and my (ahem) best friend on his VTX, and our buddy on his (double ahem) UltraGlide will be arriving rather noisily at around 11am at the Comfort Inn. We are all really, really looking forward to the trip!

Ok,,, I might need to order more shirts... Comments keep ringing in that I would say the AVERAGE is,,, about 2 shirts per poster... I know some won't take any,,, but I also have people buying 3 and 4 shirts!!!

AND,,, we are now EXACTLY 30 days away,,, and we are already up to 418 people coming!!!

We have about,,, 100 locals not signed up yet either too!!!

Me thinks a reorder will happen fairly soon... ;)

Well,,, I spent about 1/2 the day trying to get a XXXXL shirt in a red,,, but they don't make them,,, NO ONE,,, does I could find in a high quaility shirt...

They had Black,,, White,,, Grey,,, and a dark Blue,,, not navy,,, just a darker shade of blue... After about 5 phone calls and lots of talking,,, I made ANOTHER,,, executive decision...

We are going with the Dark Blue as the shirt for the size XXXXL...

The Dark blue looks very good with the color of the flames,,, and the silver on the rest looks by far the best of any of the other colors...

I had people not want white as,,, wear it 3 times and SOMEHOW,,, it has a big stain on it and it is junk...

Few wanted Black as,,, in the summer,,, black cotton can make the Devil sweat...

The Grey shirt would have worked but,,, the printing is grey and would not show up at all... I had some with a great idea to switch the colors of the Imprint to Burgandy,,, and put it on the XXXXL shirts in grey... Again,,, Great idea,,, but,,, that would cost another "Art" charge to get the film/artwork redone and another charge to get the print processed at the printers... That is why we go with 1 print,,, 1 color shirt,,, 1 year... The added cost go up a TON when you start screwing with it... The art charge spread over 600 shirts is very small per shirt... An art charge and a print processing charge for the XXXXL spread over 20 shirts would make you wake up screaming in bed...

SO,,, the XXXXL shirts will be Blue... Hope that works for everyone... If not??? I am sorry... Believe me,,, it isn't for the lack of trying... :p:

Here is a repost from the MTF site... Help you all see what goes into deciding what shirt to get... A great friend asked if I had checked out a certain shirt and this is my reply...

You likely checked this out but Hanes 5180 T's come in sizes to 5x

I found those,,, but they don't make them in a red,,, above a 3X I think it was... I can't remember what it was now...

Here are all the problems I have had... LOL!!!

Some T-Shirts are a 6.1 oz shirt in short sleeve,,, but a 5.7 oz in long sleeve... The heavier the shirt,,, the better quality it mostly can be said... I didn't want the guys buying the long sleeve,,, and having to pay more for them,,, to get a less quality shirt...

Some shirts were 6.1 oz but they only made them to XXL...

Some shirts were PERFECT,,, but didn't have long sleeves at all...

Some were perfect,,, were 6.1 oz,,, long and short sleeve,,, but didn't make them above a XXXL in either short or Long sleeve...

The shirts I am getting,,, I HOPE,,, (((they have not came in to the guy making them in Tucson))) are 6.1 oz shirts both Long and Short sleeve,,, will all be the same color both Long and short up to the XXXL size... THe XXXXL size will be the same shirt,,, just in Blue instead as the don't make the XXXXL in red... We felt that the Blue the imprint would show up the bestest with the colors a XXXXL comes in... White,,, (((Stains easy))) Black,,, (((HOT!!!))) Grey (((imprint would not show up)))...

I have made a total of at this moment,,, 47 phone calls to Tucson about T-Shirts in either art work or T-shirt quality and sizes... 8^(

BUT,,, we are going to get it done today as about 2 more calls to Tucson,,, and the shirts will be in the pipeline,,, and there won't be any looking back!!! 8^) Brother-n-law and Sister are on their way over to the T-Shirt place in Tucson to pick out between 3 different shades of red which they like... I am even demanding a video link so I have a vote too...

He ended up e-mailing me and donating the cost to the mission fund!!! :bow1: Yes,,, I cried when he did... :o: I contacted HIM,,, to make them,,, but he donated them... :bow1: AND,,, Brad wasn't able to come as he was called to work,,, so,,, he donated,,, to something he didn't even get to attend!!!:bow1:

Then,,, Kevin Baker/Oneshot made the square/cool/VERY COOL/metal/brake reserve cover/plaque that they are mounting on their bikes/tool boxes??? He called me just to yack yesterday and says he will not take any money for those either... Yes,,, kindness like that,,, makes me cry,,, and I did again... :o: Again,,, I contacted him,,, and begged him to make me some more after last years I had!!! I contacted him,,, he said he would do them at cost,,, (((I think below cost for sure))) and then,,, SHAZZAM!!! He says the Mission fund will build a better house in Mexico this year and donates... :bow1: AND,,, Kevin was only here about 18 hours as a buddy's wife got ill,,, and he did what a buddy does,,, he packed up and rode BACK,,, to Texas to make sure his friend got there ok... :bow1:

Bob Schultz/Bobsblu donated EVERY SINGLE name tag,,, window thingy,,, this year too!!! He contacted me to do it,,, and paid for it himself!!! Bob watched the list,,, and printed EVERY,,, SINGLE,,, name,,, on the list the was an ST-Owner and had the others to be filled out with all the rest!!! WAY,,, bunch of work,,, and cost him some $$$ doing it too!!! So,,, just like the others it seems,,, Bob wasn't able to attend at the last minute,,, and it about broke my heart as you could tell,,, how he wanted to... :(

These 3 guys,,, and a few more,,, I said a little prayer for Saturday when I was the last bike to leave Moonshine (((again this year))),,, I tipped my Diet Dr Pepper for,,, and ate my Moonburger out on the porch on the bench by the Cola Machine... :bow1: I really am not worthy... :bow1:

So,,, I have FINALLY,,, since Wed slept!!! Yeah yeah,,, I know,,, I Know,,, it is 5:15 am and I have already been out in the shop this morning but,,, this was the first real sleep,,, in ever... I think I have only slept 14 hours since Wed night... But,,, man,,, getting a good 7 hours of sleep last night,,, I am ready to roll now!!! :D

I will start a Moonshine T-Shirt Thread this morning telling how you can buy a shirt or 3... But,,, ONLY,,, O N L Y,,, buy,,, if you want them,,, because,,, they will sell... :biker:

Terry,
Sign me up for another large and small long sleeve. We can always use a couple of xtra dry shirts to change into for days like Saturday. By the way thanks again to you and those that helped put on such a great event. We really enjoyed the short time that we had visiting with everyone. Looking forward to next year.
