Some information that I could not find published
per the French speaking Can-Am rep at the Daytona 200
Fuel capacity (87 octane) in underseat tank (hinges up from front by turning
ignition key in ignition) is right at seven gallons, averaging 35 MPG in mixed testing. Front "trunk" is also accessed from ignition.
Reverse is a true mechanical gear accessed from toggle on clutch bracket.
(clutch in, put in first, engage reverse toggle, let out clutch, only works in first gear)
Questions I didn't ask I wish I did (his english was better than my french):
Is power assisted steering and brakes electric or run off motor?
Couldn't check dash display features, they couldn't find the key:mad: (yeah...right)
Interesting comment from rep:
The traction and stability control are so sensitive that you cannot induce a
skid even on gravel or sand.
Top speed...published 110, he said 120 "easy"
500 amp alternator
Things I didn't like, no hand brake (seemed strange but he said it has power assisted brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and it stops "right now") and parking brake lever (behind left side peg) was cheesey
Must remove side panels for engine access, completely enclosed mechanicals (but battery is under seat)
That's about it.
We signed up for test rides in the summer.
