I finally have been able to ride my new Wing!
Oh I had a couple small in town rides, but from the time I got it, so many things happened that I never had a chance to take it out on the highway. I picked the bike up about mid December, had to travel out of town for business and family matters most of December and early January. Between travelling , the more than usual snowfall we experienced this winter, and finally that big surprise (which was not a happy surprise) - I never had a chance to ride my new GW.
This last weekend was the first time I have been physically able to take the my bike outout of town and on the highway for a nice ride. My operation is all healed and I feel like better each week. Chemo is kind of strange, but not enough to stop me. The ride was great! It refreshed my soul and mind.
There is no doubt that the GW and I were meant for each other. Although we only rode for a few hours, I know I could sit on that bike and ride for hours and hours.
Now the only thing I need to figure out is how to use that NAV GPS System!
Thanks Joe for setting this up, and if you ever find those DQ stickers, let me know where you got em !

Glad to hear it.. I installed my trailer hitch yesterday.. I'm not getting a trailer but I wanted to add a cooler rack so I could put a nice nelson riggs pack on it and carry some of the more lightweight odd sized objects and maybe some extra clothes..

Don't forget to carry some of that Dr Pepper made from pure cane sugar !! ;)
I did order some. It was a bit expensive but the taste was terrific.

I'm basically modeling what I'm doing after the PakitRak system only I'm using a trailer hitch and a friend of mine is making the rack part of it for me.

I was able to get the bag from amazon.com for around $100 including shipping.
This will allow me to bring a few more things when camping as well as offer some extra space when 2-up.

Yeah.. just can't justify the cost at the moment.. more luggage space is a good thing that is easily justifiable... not that anyone with a motorcycle applies any logic to purchases... LOL

Great news STumpy. Really Great.
Joe, if you stack enough stuff on your rack, you can take a kayak:) Think of all the STuff you can pack in that Kayak when you aren't using it...

:crackup
Seriously I really like that idea. I never saw one on a bike before. That would provide a lot more extra storage space for clothes etc.
Ok I am a dunderhead when it comes to this stuff. Where exacty can you get a hitch that would work for that bag. Or am i correct in that you had some one modify the hitch to accomodate the bag? If so, my business /shop has machinery and capabilities to modify to suit.
Where is the link for that Cyclemax you mentioned that was on Burger's Blog?
Sorry for all the questions, but I think that is a really neat idea, without getting into adding a big trailer. AND ...... best of all Big Tom says you can put a Kayak in it !!! WOW !!!
