After my ride Sunday I started having a problem on the right side going up and down eventually not working at all. I took it to the STealer to have it checked out. I stopped by after work they were working on it. When the service manager came back from checking on it he said that it looked stripped out in the track. Then, and this really torqued me, he asked me if this problem happened after my stebel horn was installed. He continued to say that the stebel looked pretty "wedged" in there. I about blew a gasket. Then I looked at him and said "Now wouldn't that be convienent." Pissed me off. It's like anytime I have a repair that is covered under warranty they look to the farkles right away.
After the service manager took me back to look at the ST it was real evident to me that there is no way the stebel had any thing to do with it. I showed him this and asked if now this would be covered. He seemed to say yes but wasn't commiting to anything. We'll see......Stay tuned

No, I had a Bike Quip screen on. Not sure if having that and 122 mph (Zumo GPS) had anything to do with this problem.

Well an update on what could have been a frustrating STealer expirience. Picked up the ST yesterday with no problems, everything covered under warranty and no grief from the STealer. Thanks all for letting me vent.

Watch out. That Stebel horn install has also been known to cause premature tire wear on the rear....they wouldnt cover my new rear tire!!!!

Just kiddin. I get all knotted up everytime I need warranty work to. Glad it all worked out for ya!!!

Glad to see that they were able to determine that horn install does not cause windshield failure. :)

I rode with a Bike-Quip on at 130mph+ for hundreds of miles at a time in Germany, no problem. I eventually sold it because of the optical quality.
It is thicker and heavier than stock, but my ST didn't complain.

I probably didn't lower/raise it much at that speed though.
