Hi guys, two questions for you
There is a strong smell of petrol coming from the bike when it is idleing and when I pull up outside my house and turn of the engine the smell goes all over the house, brought it back to the shop that I bought it in ( still under warrenty and the guy said he has checked everything he can think of but still can't find a fault or a leak. Please has anyone got any idea's.
Second problem is that when I turn the lights the revs go down, so if I start the bike with lights on, the RPM is around 1000 and when I turn them of the RPM goes over maybe 1200?. Iam just wondering if this will stop me adding other things ( spots ) to the bike.
Thanks Stewpot

Hi, Stewpot.
On your first problem: Assuming you have the charcoal cannister same as the USA models, is it possible you are over-filling the tank and flooding the cannister?

On your second problem. Over here, the lights are wired permanently on unless someone alters the wiring. Normally mine starts up with 1200 or so RPM, then slows to about 1000 by the time the first temperature bar lights up.

Now I read someplace here a long time ago that there is a trick with the switches that would allow startup with the lights out, but I can't remember what it is. Maybe somebody here can help with that little thing.
