I have used both for the past two years and have not noticed any difference with performance. The Jr. model I think is a bit cheaper and about half the size of the other one. Comes down to personal preference. Both will do the job.

The whole Jr. plugs into the wall, takes up less space, stays off the floor.

Got Juniors for both Lois's and my ST. Have worked good so far.

The Plus will bring a dead battery back up faster and can be used on autos and trucks

JR owner here and like it very well - the no floor space thing is nice.

From memory, the jr is .75 amps and the plus is 1.25 amps max charge. The jr will take care of any cycle battery and many smaller car batteries.

That's correct. I just purchased 2 Jr's and a Plus two weeks ago. Amazon.com had a package deal on a Plus and a Jr together for $58.

I've been using the Jr and bought another for the second bike. I noticed they do get pretty hot, even in standby mode. Wonder if I should have bought the Plus and just Y'ed off of it or plug both batteries in parallel? Although I see an issue with imbalanced batteries and the cheap sensing circuitry.

[QUOTE=campernh;204051]Hi Guys,

IIRC the Jr has about 0.9 amps peak power and the '+' has 1.25. Yuasa has a model about the size of the '+' for about the same money that has a function to ramp "Up to 16 volts for recovery of sulfated batteries, fully automatic 5 stage cycle for efficient charging and a 28-day charge recycle that re-evaluates battery condition for long-term storage". It is a 12V 1.5 Amp Charger(www.yuasabatteries.com/accessories.asp) for about the same money over the I Net.
Does anyone know if the "Battery Tender" line has the "sulfated battery" feature or is this just a Yuasa marketing ploy?
I have used the '+' in the past for storage applications and thought they worked well.
